1. Why is it important to have European CE Certification and RED 2014/53/EU compliance?
Having permits for the use of a mobile signal repeater is an essential step in order to be able to use this type of product: the various telephone operators have purchased certain frequencies for mobile signal services (2G, 3G, 4G e 5G)and are very careful in avoiding interference on the networks, interference that is frequent with products that are not legal, of low quality and therefore lack European certification. 2. European CE certification: what is it?
Within the European Union, many products in order to be marketed require the CE mark, which certifies that such products have been evaluated by those in charge (the manufacturer) and are found to have EU requirements for safety, health and environmental protection. This mark must be visible, legible and indelible, and is formed with the initials CE. In our catalog, all products bear the CE mark, as you can see in the product images on our website.
3. R.E.D. directive: what is it all about?
R.E.D. (Radio Equipment Directive) 2014/53/EU, for the regulation of radio and wireless equipment, is mandatory as of June 2017.
All products within the radio equipment family require RED certification in order to apply the CE mark and be marketed within the European Union. A product that complies with this certification is one that meets compliance obligations, possesses safety (and health protection) requirements, EMC requirements (Electromagnetic Compatibility level according to the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU) and Radio requirements.
All electronic products that emit and/or receive radio waves for the purpose of radio communication are subject to compliance with this directive. As mentioned, our products are all compliant with the RED Directive, we have all the documentation to prove this compliance.
